Last summer I invited the author of a new book called "Illegal People" to come to our school district and make two presentations; one to staff and one to to the migrant community. He said yes! These are the slides from that event that was held on November 13, 2009. It all went great! We had community TV cover it an everything. Even though he's famous, he's a super nice guy actually, soft spoken and quite humble.

Andi, Rosa and Farid

This is Xia's Aunt Rosa and her children; Andrea and Farid. They live in Cancun, Mexico.

Andi just had a baby (! she is only 17 ....) and she is currently living with her father Alberto, and his family near Mexico City because they can offer more support to her at this time.
